It's not a bad beer at all, but there are some people in there trying to trade it for ... yeah I guess basically what you already pulled off. I'm guessing that was after the WLV release but before everyone else got it.

I'm sure some people would like to try it but I don't see that much actual demand for it here (rightly so).

Also, Dave at Off Color ******* haaaates it. At this year's Beer Temple event during CCBW, he outright said he'd prefer never brewing it ever again, it sucks, etc. I was convinced that meant it wouldn't be released again but I guess not...

Split a 4pk with a buddy who found it on the shelf fairly easily, but still think its kind of over priced. He says Batch 1 was better though, so...

I actually love that everyone loses their **** over Dino S'mores. It draws attention away from everything else that Off Color makes so I can always find scurry, apex predator, fierce, etc on the shelf without a problem.

It was at that release, though Evanston 1st also got a case, I think the next day. I had a whole list of stuff FT, and ISO, and the only offer I got was "prop for DS?." I actually made the dude take a Sosus, just to even out $4$.

I almost picked up a 4 pack last time I was at the store. I thought it was amusing that their ingredients list on the bottle is all in French.

What kind of prices are you seeing on it? I've only seen it at one shop and they wanted $12.49 for it.

I've been seeing Le Predateur around the West suburbs for $9.99 with Apex at $8.99. I like Le Predateur, but it isn't quite Apex, so I'm sticking with Apex as the go to. Predateus is a little lighter and hoppier with a but more spice. Definitely less fruit than Apex. Still very good for a clean saison, though.

I thought it had more of a certain spicy saison note (yeast?) that I don't particularly care for compared to Apex. Still a good beer, just not a flavor profile I dig.

Ok thanks. I thought what I saw was abnormally high for Off Color. That 9.99 is more like it. Sounds like it may not be exactly to my liking either but will definitely give it a try.

I actually didn't like it that much, though that's a judgment of preference and not quality.

there's honestly not a bad beer in off color's 4/6 pack lineup. due to not having to fib it up in kenosha, i'd even take fierce over NG berliner.

And, I'll say it, I just had my first Dino S'mores a couple nights ago and I actually thought it was a solid beer. Substantially better than that s'mores money train wreck.

I prefer the NG, but only when that **** isn't exploding on me.

If there's one issue with Eille, it's the ABV. That beer may end up killing a person for being so stupid easy to drink. Like this past summer, I'm expecting Summer 2015 to consist of me drinking only NG Berliner, Off Color stuff, and Penrose stuff.
