guys, this seems like a pretty standard brewery set-up to me, you think they make alco-pop in these beauties? Can you taste the non-food grade PVC in the 20%?

As much as we joke about Chicago being ****** (even though it is), at least we're not alone. There were about 400 bottles of Eclipse Masterpiece being sold at the party last night at $45 with no limit and the first 20 people or so apparently bought it all. Woof.
Is that like the Rare of Eclipse?

Yeesh! Average of about $900/person for a single beer.
I don't get it. I can participate in this hobby because I have a decent amount of disposable income. I drink nice beer, wine, and liquor several days a week, something many people in this country can't do.

I can't fathom the idiocy of spending that kinda dough on beer on a whim, let alone one particular beer. I doubt those 20 guys are rich.

Possibly a store owner(s) bought a bunch to flip at their store for a decent markup? Not all those guys, maybe a couple though.

I've heard some crazy things about beer releases in Cali. Apparently there's trading groups that seem almost like the beer equivalent of gangs. They try to control a significant portion of certain releases to leverage the trading market with. Just something I heard from some Cali beer guys - no first hand experience.

If that IS true, then we've collectively failed as beer lovers. If that's the future of craft beer, I say let it die.

I'd quit. Not worth it.

It's true. They suck, hard. Mules on top of mules, line cutting etc.

Not just Cali...I've heard of at least one mule/hoarding group that operates nationwide.

Um, sorry to quash yet another false rumor, but I've never ever once hired mules, let alone homeless mules.
You didn't necessarily do anything wrong with the whole Walgreens thing, but overall, you're just a weasely little man who is a detriment to beer, Chicago, America, bourbon, Kentucky, and even neck braces.

****, if I ever injure my neck, I'm going braceless out of principle.

seeing all sorts of jabos go back and forth on that terrible facebook group about the two different blends (bottling dates) of BCS, does anyone who's opinion I actually value notice a difference? Had em side by side and thought they we're f*ckin identical.

Your palate is clearly broke, bro. There's soooooo much difference and you'll see that when one batch starts trading for walez and the other turds up shelves.

Did I use all those terms right?

On the positive side of beer..

I really enjoyed Buckledown's Anniversary offers. All were good barrel aged beers and the Stout in particular was good stuff. I might've bought a bottle of the stout if it was still there, but I was told the bros sacked the place over on Friday.

Also enjoyed a stop by Pollyanna in Westmont after jury duty on Thursday. It's a friend of mine from older RB days (and fellow Iowa alum) and I think it's a really nice space plus some good beers are flowing.

Please note that I was kidding about this but now there's an ISO:FT on this very site where the trader is calling out which version/ABV he/she has available...
