Would rather light a twenty on fire. And then put it out with my face. And dick.
You didn't steal their chairs? #bcbschairwalezzHappened to pass Lake Zurich Binnys on my way home tonight. Looks like tomorrow I'm gonna have to get there earlier than anticipated.

Holy ****. Look who BCBS dragged out of the woodwork. Some hippie appeared out of nowhere at Armanettis and asks "So uh, you guys here for the uh super special release stuff?"
You would have never known it from (a) his audible complaining heard down the street re: how unproductive the hunting was today and (b) getting into a legal argument with the GI rep at the front over the expectation interest of those in line given what was mentioned initially about allocations.
Snippet:
GI rep: "That (the allocation) was never written down anywhere"
Anon - "IT CAN BE ORAL"
Finally removed it, at long last so he could pop on a stylish über scarf to combat the chilly weather. But then how could he carry such large amounts of beer? I'm confused.
Many lulz and face palms were had to keep my mouth shut during that exchange. Goose girl clearly enjoyed trollin him as much as we do.You would have never known it from (a) his audible complaining heard down the street re: how unproductive the hunting was today and (b) getting into a legal argument with the GI rep at the front over the expectation interest of those in line given what was mentioned initially about allocations.

How'd it go? Blood in the streets in Lake Zurich?
The story behind Bucktown Walgreens is that some guy from MN went in and the sign said "Black Friday Release 12-2pm" and conned the clerk to sell at midnight. One of Chicago's upstanding beer guys got word somehow and headed over with his mule. They each bought 1 case of everything. So between a few good ole boys from MN and a guy recently in a neck brace, they bought up 80% of the variants. This proceeded to mess up the entire Bucktown Walgreens release.
JEG just Grossin'. Man what a total ****. His day is coming.
Don't be a ******* ******. It's not complicated.A lot of people on here make very black and white statements. I think it's a slippery slope. It seems fine if someone goes into a corner store that "doesn't know what they have" and buy more than other stores would usually allow, but it's not OK to do that at Walgreens. If you had been told on Thanksgiving day that the Walgreens down the street street from you had Prop and Vanilla for sale, would you not go there because it's morally wrong to buy it before the official GI release? If you did stop in and there was no limit, how much would you buy? Just one bottle? 2,3,4? When is it not cool?
If you were the guy from out of town, would you NOT ask if BCS was for sale? If they said "not until tomorrow" would you not ask if they could sell some to you right now? Those don't sound like sinister plots to ruin the release. It seems like a guy asking if he could buy some Bourbon County. I think a lot of other people would do the same thing.
If you lined up at one place, and then went to another, is that not cool? If you got an extra bottle to trade, is THAT not cool? In all those scenarios, you're taking away the opportunity for someone else to stop by to buy the beer because they actually want to try it. Is your trading partner trying Prop more important than the guy behind you getting a bottle? Is your need to try Prop AND the Morning Delight you're gonna trade the second bottle you got for more important than the guy behind you trying Prop?
When is it "Butt Hurt" and when is it "JEG is an *******"? It seems here that the vast majority of people on this thread lined up for BCS, often at more than one place. Many people are hoping to trade some of what they got for other beer. Yet these same people are complaining when other people are willing to wait in line longer than they are, or longer than was necessary a few years ago.
It is what it is. What's the use bashing everyone else who's also trying to get the beer?

If you're confused by this, or have to ask for clarification, I have bad news for you.
I tend to draw the line at whether or not one operates within the known rules of a particular store. If you know that Walgreens has an event from 12PM-2PM the following day, but you badger someone over an ambiguity about the lack of a PM behind the 12 and knowingly buy way more than Walgreens would ever allow at 12PM the next day, it's just flat out wrong on so many levels. Beyond that, I think it's a question of how unselfish of a person you are. If a store doesn't know what they have, or even if they do, and you buy a bunch of it knowing that others will be shut out who come in after you, that's more of a personal thing you need to reconcile. Anytime you buy more than 1 of something where D>S, one could argue you're getting more than a fair share. I have no good answer there. I tend to buy mostly for what I know I'll drink with a small amount for trading here and there. Sometimes that's alot on the consumption end if it's a beer I really like.
What this seems to be about though...not even close to the same thing. Maybe that's just me.

I'm not saying I have the answers. I just see a lot of venom. Personally I think it's just as much the fault of GI/The distribution house for putting that kind of beer in a place where they know it could more easily get taken advantage of. I mean, Walgreens has had some issues with beer releases in the past.
Please enlighten me. How many trucks did you chase this year? Please enlighten me. Tell me what it was like back in the day, way back when you joined BA in April of this year.
Sure, you can pinpoint several things that caused this to happen, and therefore say several parties are at fault in some way. But I still see a stark contrast between those causes that I would characterize as inept (Walgreens) versus those that are unethical (the people in question, if the story is true).
It's kind of like the CCBE thread about the $28 cases of BCBS allegedly sold at Jewel, where many tried to argue it's Jewel's fault because something wasn't entered into the system correctly and because the cashier is clueless. vav would lose his **** reading that thread.
