Says the guy from Milwaukee?

I've seen you consistently **** on IL and Chicago so it's pretty hard to tell when you're "joking".

I actually love Chicago (and the greater Chicago-land area). Not sure I could say the same for the rest of the state. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I spent many a weekend in my 20's in Lakeview/Lincoln Park/Wrigleyville (Gamekeepers, the Store, Marquee Lounge, Vaughn's, Matilda, Sheffield's, Big ****** Tap, et al.). Tons of friends from college (Purdue) still in the area, although more and more have moved out to burbs to find a safe breeding ground.

My in-laws (empty-nesters at this point) live at roughly Belmont and Clark. Love going to Binny's (Lakeview and Lincoln Park) and WLV whenever I'm in town.

I'm down in the loop once a week or so for work. Amtrak to Chicago rules.

Your beer festivals are way better than anything we get in Milwaukee for sure. Sad I missed Zwanze this year, but I'll be at FoBAB for the first time (I think Thanksgiving has got in the way the last several years).

I grew up in suburban Philadelphia, so to be honest, I don't really have a dog in this fight, but I sure do love busting FIBs' balls. It's a term of endearment, really. I call my father-in-law a FIB to his face. My wife now roots for the Brewers over the Cubs, so she's been, for all practical purposes, de-FIB'ed.

no go... ill just have to drink all of yours :D

Now that you're going to be local again that can be arranged.

Is that an accessory lift?

I don't think two full 750ml bottles is going to do much for you and if you try to hold more than one in each hand you're going to make me very nervous.

Come and gone already? Just the city or the burbs as well?

Landed this morning and while I don't burb, I believe it hit there as well with the same timing. Wouldn't be surprised if there's at least some Stagg around somewhere though hell if I know where.

It did land in the burbs today too. Most Binny's saw Stagg, Handy, & Eagle 17 - WLW and Saz 18 were either very sparse or non-existant. Still shocked I was able to get a bottle of Stagg.

When I saw jakeox 's post earlier today, I immediately started thinking of any somewhat-off-the-radar shop in the city that could have it... and immediately realized that if I was thinking of one only at that moment, it was already too late. And so when I went home, it looked a little like this:

Enjoy the BTAC y'all (though... if anyone knows where to find a lonely bottle of Stagg... I'm just sayin'...).

PS - **** Pappy.

I never know how to split the difference between giving a heads up here on the forum and blowing up everyone's chances by posting about it in a place where lurkers/non-forum members may see it. I got in line at Binny's on Grand and there were about 7 other guys in line before opening, so I wasn't the only one who figured out yesterday was the day ... just not sure how to handle this.

Looks like this one is out now in the City and some of the suburbs. Will be buying after work.

I need to make a round and pick up this, scurry, fierce and Gravedigger Billy so I can be set for October.
Grabbed this last night. Hoping to get at it and some Rev Unsess tonight!

Completely understand - and I can't imagine anyone here would take offense at keeping something on the DL. As skewed as the beer market has become (in Chicago, and elsewhere), the bourbon market is even crazier -- both for the speed at which it went pear-shaped and lengths to which people are going to get the stuff.

I may try to console myself with one of these:

Any idea on the pricing?
