Do any other breweries do this though? Sixers for home market and 4pks outside.
I'm definitely not complaining. I can get the sixers of Troublesome down here for $8.

Blame 12 Percent Imports for the price increase. They have the rights to distro Off Color outside the Chicago market, and this lead to $4+ bottles of Troublesome popping up out in the PNW when I lived out there earlier this year.

I didn't bother to pick up a pack to see who distros it out there, but I can see that now. Such a shame though since I doubt it moves at those prices. Shop in Framingham, MA had the 4pks for $16.99 and I saw the 4pks in Maine going for $13.99.
I also noticed a decent price increase for the new batch of Tilquins recently.

Alright FIB's, I'm coming to your area. I ask you for suggestions on bars/breweries/restaurants that I shouldn't miss over Labor Day weekend.

On the list so far:
Revolution
Goose Island Clyborn
Binny's behind GI
Intelligensia
Phat Pour
Map Room
Publican
Local Option

Anything else I need not miss? I need to be sure to get some Not Your Fathers into my Midwest gullet as well but I hear it pretty prolific on tap.

Thanks!

Pro Tip: Go to the Revolution Tap room on Kedzie rather than the brewpub on Milwaukee Ave. Same tap list (more or less) and no terrible wait.

Aside from that, you could check out the Half Acre taproom and/or Fountainhead.

abawol01 I second Nate's suggestion, and if you need food, they let you bring your own in or have it delivered there. Same with Half Acre.
I personally hated Fat Pour. They should've named it Frat Pour. The servers couldn't keep up with what was kicked so it took at least 3 trips for ours to finally get me my first beer. I guess this wouldn't be an issue if you sit at the bar, but I hated the atmosphere. I'd highly suggest SmallBar or Jerry's if you'll be on Division in that area.

And it pick up on SSideTROLLer's comments, Honey Butter Fried Chicken is very close (and delicious) and I'm assuming Revolution is in the delivery area for Dante's Pizza (the bartenders can also make recommendations).

Also, if you're into coffee, put Dark Matter on your list, too. I like them a lot more than Intelligentsia but their two locations aren't necessarily as convenient. Their Mothership is smaller and has more limited hours - Star Lounge is a few blocks further West but is larger and has better hours.

I definitely recommend both of those food recs! Have had both at the taproom and Dante's does deliver there.
I personally like Intell better, but I can't comment on the cafe's outside of the Loop. Never been to the others.

They just opened a coffee bar in Lakeview today (yesterday, idk recently), called Osmium (1117 W. Belmont Ave.).

Bangers/Jerry's/Smallbar is a fun little run. If you can handle busy, do it.

If any of you fellow FIBs are going to be at Lollapalooza this weekend and want to tick dat Bud Light Lime with me (shotgun, obvs), get at me.

I'll be the guy either in the back or right in front of the soundboard wondering when teenagers got so damn young and grumbling about doesn't anyone play real instruments anymore.

Go to RiotFest pls.

So far got a flight of Double Fist, Fist City, Citra Hero, and Coup D'Etat. Guess I'll be adding Eugene and Anti Hero

Another word to the wise. Half Acre usually has a special firkin every Friday. Might be worth checking out. Also you can get Bad Apple - awesome burgers across the street to eat in the tap room. Since Half Acre doesn't have food they allow you to bring it in.

Lemongrass Ginger Oakum in the firkin today. Don't know about that one, regular Oakum was just ok. Navaja and Golden Tuna being on tap still make it a worthwhile trip.

I wish I had enough time to get over to half acre but need to be in Schaumburg in a few hours. Thanks for the recs though. Definitely coming back

Was at Tribe's last night and got to try their collab with Rev called Tribal Hero. Pretty damn good and better than Citra Hero IMO. They said the Rev taproom may have some kegs of it so check that out if they do. Amarillo and Galaxy was used.
