This thread is an accumulation of sad feels about our odds to find Proprietor's.

Serious question, does anyone know the bottle count on Proprietors? What if it's like 13,000 bottles(similar to Cherry Rye and Beat for that matter) and concentrated in 1 city, but everyone is over hyping it because it's "VERY limited"

Goose Island doesn't release bottle counts. The only one they've done is Rare (hand numbered bottles). It's all an educated guess at this point.

We don't know how many cases they're holding on to or how many kegs were filled, etc. Also, given the Chicago market, they could release 20,000 bottles and they would still all disappear and show up on Craigslist.

What I didn't include in those calculations were kegs and bottles held back from distribution, like the pallet of Rare BCBS that is apparently still at the Fulton St. brewery.

If the numbers are anywhere near that, that doesn't seem too limited.

That said, idk how crazy the Chicago scene is. And I don't care what the trade value should or shouldn't be. I got my trade partner and we're good. No need to haggle on trades because I just wanna hook him up with good bottles.

I went into a store on Friday and asked for FW 17. The buyer brought out DDBA for $35. I laughed in his face. I didn't mean to be rude, but I really couldn't help it.

You can drive to Dublin, Livermore and get all the FW you need. For a fair price too and it's not at Perry's. Seriously still think there may be a case of parabola laying around for $14.99/bottle.

Tried a Cardinal Liquor in Berwyn on my lunch break. Asked if they had gotten any Bourbon County yet, said yes. $10 for a single bottle. I said no thanks. Then asked if I wanted to buy a bottle of Utopias for $299. I clearly don't know the right hole in the wall places.

The Gold Coast Whole Foods suggested I check on Saturday, which is also when they expect to get their shipment. I've usually gotten honest answers from them (unlike other WFs) so I can't decide if he didn't know or was purposefully lying.

Armanetti's in Huntley has standard BCBS...for a cool $8 a bottle. The guy said he didn't expect to get variants or Coffee.

"The berry sludge in the beer was so thick, even post-racking, that the cellar guys had to keep manually discharging the centrifuge just to keep it rolling. The final yield in the bright tank was below 70%, which is insanely low. So the final numbers were below what Goose expected too, most likely."

Searched around at a few more small spots on my way home only to come up empty or come across clowns charging way too much for everything. I'm going to throw up a trade offer for some Coffee and Barleywine. If that fails then **** it. I'll just order a big box of lambic with the money I wanted to spend on BCS variants.

I was thinking of trying one of the non-Lincoln Park Binnys but got to thinking how early I would have to show up. 7am? 5am? What occurred to me is that some ****** will be there even earlier and will probably have mules or just let people cut and I'll wind up shut out.

Or I could sleep in and buy that Loki bottle from Highland Park with the mini wooden Viking ship.

Those guys... Huntley and Woodstock Armanettis are owned by the same guy. Last year Woodstock was charging $9/bottle for BCBS.
