So when are you opening? I saw the fancy decorations last night leading to the door, I'll bring you kiddos store bought cookies and Apex Predator...
tomorrows a big day...could be in like 3 weeks if citys kewl. but Im guessin something stupid will cause more delay. we hosted a couple events, hence some of the fancy decor. I dont have the heart to tell another mb employee who set up all the nice antique decor and fancy wallpaper how humans will steal **** and **** it up within a few months.
I just want an invite to the industry soft opening* since I've been drinking at WLV events with him long before he was famous cool-guy brewer.

*I probably won't be able to attend
i plan to do some invite to some of you ****s if yr interested. and im barely cool guy brewer, bryan's the head dude while my kids cost me monies that brewing beer dont afford for next 2 years. I'm part time uncool dad. but according to the bank, I have the kewlest title in the history of millennial business titles - chief innovation officer.

For any of you in the Western Suburbs, my buddy Eric has opened up a new on premise / off premise location called Orange & Brew in Downers Grove, IL.

Because my life wasn't busy enough I'm helping him out by working Saturday's from 4pm til close (which at the moment is 9pm), so if you are in the area please stop in and mock me while I attempt to navigate the point of sale system without looking like more of an idiot than I am.

I've been by a few times since it opened a couple weeks ago, and I like it. As long as he's showing every Illini game I'll be happy. The Beer Cellar doesn't have Big Ten Network and cant show the Illini getting destroyed on a given Saturday. Because sometimes I want to watch them and sit in misery with other people.

Yea I like how Eric designed the layout of the space, and while I personally wish there wasn't quite such an emphasis on flavor of the week styles, misery sure does love company...

I’m not happy it’s a little further from home, but...it is in range for JumpZone, Sky High, and Play and Spin - popular birthday party destinations for the school-aged.

Congrats UA/HC/ Marksy!

Be careful with those trampolines. You'll hurt your back.

Fresh Vienna Lager cans released yesterday at Dovetail for $11 out the door. This is one of the most crushable local beers I've had in a long time. This will be a staple in my house for the foreseeable future.

$11/6? per 12? per can?

I think it’s per 6....if I may lift this Gonzoillini post from a different thread.

I haven't made a beer purchase that has put this kind of smile on my face in quite a long time.

x2 cases of Dovetail Helles Lager in 16oz - 4 packs for $121 out the door tonight. Might be back next week if they run the same deal (basically buy x11 4-packs and get the 12th 4 pack free) on the Vienna Lager they are canning.

The real question is how long these 48 cans will last in the house with the holidays coming up (down to 47 as we speak...)

$11 per 4pack of 16oz cans was the price on the Helles (and assuming it'll be the same for the Vienna Lager) unless you bought the "brewers dozen" which was x2 cases (or x12 - 4packs) for the price of 11 - 4packs.

looks like second city meadery just inked a deal for a space around the corner from old irving brewing
Confirmed! :D

If you could get all of your federal **** out of the way in the next, I don't know, 16 hours or so, that would be nice.
Confirmed :(

This shut down is pretty nerve wracking

I’ll leave it to the Western burban folks to answer the ORD>55 dining question.

However - on the back end of the trip - where are you staying and do you have any interest/availability in grabbing a drink with area Trump thread regulars and others?

Was anyone else surprised to learn there’s a replica leaning tower of pisa in niles? Granted I’m south side & suburb the majority of my life, but feel like I would’ve heard about this in the past 30 ish years.

Never heard of it.

I found out TBOX existed last year.

Must be a south side/north side thing. Growing up in the northern burbs, it was a staple of my youth. The Leaning Tower of Niles!
