Moving to these for the weight differences and I brew 10-11 g batches and split into 2 glass carboys. Long haul from garage to basement after 5 hour brew day.

Would you go with the 6 g or 7? I am leaning with 7.
thanks

Thanks. I was thinking the same. I currently use 3 foot 1" vinyl tubes from my glass carboys into starsan for blow offs . I would like to try the same for the PET fermonsters but not sure if they will fit.

I too have the 7 gal. I like it very much. Especially if you are doing a 5.5 gallon batch that will be heavily dry hopped, you'll appreciate the extra room. I would recommend a brew hauler type device to carry it. Others have stated that they have issues removing the lid, I haven't experienced this but I have large hands. The other thing I did was purchase solid #10 bungs. I then put two holes in it, one for airlock/blow off and the other for a thermowell

Thanks guys. ordering 2 today . I think my days of the glass carboys are soon behind me. The weight savings and cleaning the fermonster with the wide opening has me wanting to try it.
