Can i ferment a 2 gallon must in a 5 gallon fermenter? Will fermentation occurr? Will it come out with a less alcohol content that if I do it in a fewer capacity fermenter (a 2 gal fermenter for example)?

the size does not matter, it will ferment fine in a 5 gallon bucket. most wine is 6 gallons fermented in a 8 gallon bucket. Its actually good to have headspace so the wine can aerate and foam without spilling or trapping gas in.

Thank you

make sure after primary fermentation is done that you transfer to a 2 gallon carboy with airlock...

Is primary fermentation with airlock also?

Yes if it is a bucket and you have a lid for the bucket, drill a hole in it and put an airlock in the hole. Otherwise a loose fitting lid will do if you don't open it up and expose it to open air all the time. If it is a glass bottle put an airlock in the neck.

you do not need to do primary with an airlock, just keep it covered
