Question. I made a pale ale yesterday. It started to ferment vigorously a few hours after I pitched the yeast. This am still at it. I came home 12 hrs later and the beer has cleared up and the fermentation seemed to really slow down. Usually it hammers away for a few days. Temp on the tape thermometer is 70. I did by accident pitch the yeast to high. Around 85. I had somehow read the thermometer wrong not sure what happened. Question is should I do something or leave it alone. It’s still working just not as well as before. I used dry yeast. Thanks .

Yeast work faster at warmer temps but they Also produce some esters or fusel alcohols when hot. If you cooled quickly your probably ok.

I’d give the yeast some extra time to clean up even if the gravity says it finished.
