Probably doesn't mean much as far as brewing is concerned. They're trying to make biofuel, not beer.

I doubt arabinose is present in any significant concentration (if at all) in wort. The whole resistance to acetic acid thing is cool, but there really shouldn't be much, if any, acetic acid in properly fermenting beer. Still, kinda interesting though.

I guess you could make beer out of corn stalks now...but that just sounds nasty.
