Fermentation in bottle, can ocurr?

Hi, if I want to speed things up, lets say I have a original gravity of 1.052 on my ale, after a week and a half I make a single reading and I have a sg of 1.012, which is 5.3 abv which is fine with me.
I decide to carbonate and then bottle but I think that maybe the gravity could have lower a little bit more but I wanted to speed up.

Could it happen that fermentation keep ocurring in bottle and form yeast trub on the bottom or that alcohol percentage rises inside the bottle? If it hasnt finished fermentation and I carb and bottle, something bad can happen? Thanks
 
When you carbonate in the bottle, that is fermentation in the bottle.

Yes, bad things can happen if the fermentation is not complete before you bottle. Those bad things are called bottle bombs.
 
Yes but I dont think 0.002 or 0.003 could blow up a bottle right? Or can it? Thanks a lot for answering
 
4.5 oz of priming sugar (a relatively typical amount, results in 2.5 or so volumes of CO2) in a 5 gallon batch only comes out to around 0.0025, so if you had 2 or 3 points left on fermentation, you'd essentially be doubling the carbonation. So yes, I would think that could cause bottle bombs. Would depend on the type of bottles and all, tho.
