I have never got into sour beers that much. I'm more of a malt forward person. I'll have to try some sour beer since O'so brewing is not that far away.

I have never got into sour beers that much. I'm more of a malt forward person. I'll have to try some sour beer since O'so brewing is not that far away.

I hated them when I first had them, but mostly because the first ones I had were heavy in vinegar. It wasn't until I had milder berliner weisses and goses that I really started to get into them. Still - good alternative when you just aren't feeling malty (and they tend to be lower ABV I've found, so you can drink more of them!)

I do too, actually. Might be the sudden proliferation of NEIPAs though.

That's probably true. Never had the opportunity t try anything from the NE but the stuff made to style out here by Pure Project Brewing would be hard to beat by any standard. (they just started selling cans of one of their best I need to pick up...and maybe trade?). I think just like the proliferation of "west coast" IPA as a style (and SIPA and DIPA) we'll see a lot of great, and poor, beer of this style around the country. I would like to try some of the originals some day though.
