I am brewing an Imperial oatmeal stout soon. Been messing with this recipe for a bit and think i finally have it where i am wanting. I am on the lower end of an imperial stout, but still mostly within range (color is high, hops a little low to be "true to style") but i dont want it too hoppy. I was going for good chocolate and roast flavor but really want a nice balanced beer with good Mouthfeel.
I was considering adding some coffee malt as well but not sure. Also contemplated bumping the specialty grains all a few ounces up. Any suggestions or changes i should consider?? I am also going to toast the oats.
thanks!
