I'm looking to make an english pale ale, this is what i came up with.

5 gallon
1.051 og
50 ibu

10lbs pale malt
1lbs victory

.5oz summit 60min
and i was thinking either
1.5oz ultra 10min
1.5oz ultra 0min
or
3oz ultra 0min

also plan on 1oz ultra dryhop

I would add in some English character malts like a few oz of extra dark crystal, special roast, or golden naked oats. Switching the pale malt to a English base malt like Maris Otter or Golden promise could also work to make it taste more authentic

A lot less Victory. Dry hop is good, but I'd avoid too many late additions (maybe just 60m and 15m). Rather than flameout addition, try dropping the temperature slightly and steeping for 20m.

I agree with @m00ps adding some crystal (50-120) and using either Maris Otter or Golden Promise will give you a more authentic English style ale.

I keep my ESB very simple, M.O., Crystal 55 and some EKG and Williamette hops and I'm good to go.
