I didn't buy mine as a complete kit such as the link. I just got the adapter because I use pin lock kegs for serving and I had a faucet lying around.
It's convenient if you're taking a keg to a party or brew club meeting.
There is no resistance right off the keg so keg pressure has to be fairly low or it pours lightning fast and is all foam.

Williams Brewing has a complete setup that’s all SS and puts the faucets at 90° to the keg.
You can also buy the components separately if you already have extra faucets.
I put together two using extra Venmatic faucets I had laying around and it works very well.

My own experience (at multiple NHC club nights) is that a homemade cobra tap (basically a qd with about 6" of line and then a picnic tap) handles the foam a bit better than a direct tap on a keg.

Not as "pretty" as a SS faucet directly on a keg, but a bit more functional.

Thanks. So, its not a foamy mess without the tubing? Or at least manageable via adjusting the serving pressure.

Right, The first pour tends be pretty foamy, but then the only problem I had was when someone got overly aggressive with with the CO2 charger. I will say also, the two times I have used it, they were English Pale Ales on little lower side of carbonation. I have not tried it with a hefe or Belgian, yet.
