I searched the site and did not find any answers to my problem.

I planned on brewing today but my plans had to change and now I wont be able to brew until next Wednesday. Unfortunately I made a liquid yeast starter and I want to be able to use it next week.

Should I just put it in the fridge and wait until next week? Or will adding another pint of wort extend the life until Wednesday?

Thanks:mug:

When faced with this scenario, I've taken two approaches:

1. Refrigerate; on brew day, let it warm up to room temperature and pitch.

2. Refrigerate; on day before brewing, use it to make another starter.

I suspect number two is the best option - pitching healthier yeast. But I didn't notice any discernable difference.

less than 2 weeks will only sleep the yeasties. and let it warm up for 4-6 hours before pitching it.
