Exposing yeast to light (indoors)

Is there any harm to it. I want to just leave my starter on the kitchen counter on the stir plate. I see the wyeast packages prevent against UV damage, but can interior lighting cause any damage?

Not that anyone's ever commented on or worried about, until now. Most of us leave our starters out in some room to do them.
