Exploring The Idea of Home Brewing

Hi all, don't be put off by the name, I'm really quite peaceful.

I haven't brewed any beer yet, but I'm thinking hard about it. I love good beer, but I don't drink a lot. I might have a good ale with my meal at a restaurant or brewpub, but I don't drink much at home. So I'm trying to decide on whether I should invest a couple of hundred on a kit. Meanwhile, I am just trying to learn all I can before Imake my decision.
