I've made 3 all grain brews over the past few weeks and one had an unexpected low efficiency - I didn't have any DME on hand to help out with the initial low gravity so I just went ahead and fermented a 'light' beer. I'm brewing today and am doing my best to do everything right, but I happen to have some DME on-hand. In case I find that I miss my SG, I think I'd like to add DME to bring it up to the proper level. I'm not sure how much DME = gravity points - is this a standard calculation that I should be able to find somewhere?

Thanks Yoop, unfortunately, I needed the DME, time to start re-reading all the info about poor efficiency.
