Does anyone have experience with fan placement in an indoor brewery? I getting ready to install a hood and fan in my basement brew space. I have the Kal hood on order and a s-600 fan. It's a 8' run to the exterior. I have a 14' long run of 6" supply line for make up air and an 8' run of 6" exhaust line in solid galvanized pipe. There is one 90 degree turn for both the supply and exhaust located on the top of the hood.
Make air is piped into the hood by the hlt side and the exhaust exit hole is located on center over the boil kettle.
I'm unsure if it's better to place the fan closer to the hood or closer to the wall exhaust point. Kitchen fans are located in the hood and commercial fans are located at the end of the run outside. So I'm not sure if it more efficient to push or pull the exhaust.
Anyone have experience with this situation?
