I thought it was a great read, I notice a lot of similarity with my own life. But as mentioned before...Full evolution takes place once brewing commences.

i have definitely evolved. i used to drink bud because it was easy to drink and gave me a buzz. now i drink budweiser because it is a precision-brewed, fine example of a standard american lager (BJCP 1B)

Parallel's my life as well, but my "gateway" beer was Blue Moon and of course picking up homebrewing a little before "whale hunting."
