Evolution Craft Brewery in Delaware has an IPA (lot#3 IPA)

I tried this on tap at Sean Boland's pub around Christmas time and had it once more about a week or 2 later. I recently picked up a 5 gallon keg of it and I have to say it's the best IPA ever. It's not yet available in bottles, but soon will be.

Has anybody here had this great beer? If not, keep your eyes out for it. I'd really like to know what hops they are using.

I haven't had it but if it is that good it might just be worth it for me to take a trip to the brewery.

Well, I can tell you that I've had at least 75-100 different IPA's over the years and it's top notch. I have a few close friends that are brewers too and they absolutely love it except one who is pissed because he hasn't had it yet.

I don't know what you guys like, but I'm used to beer like Loose Cannon being a favorite. Bottled Loose Cannon is a little inconsistent at times, not bad, but less hoppy at times. I like when it's super hoppy which is a crap shoot.

I'm not comparing Evo Lot#3 IPA to Loose Cannon because they are different, but it's right up that alley. 6.8% and little more bitter and less malty than Cannon, but still very citrus/floral and really has a flavor of it's own. Very easy drink, I mean you can guzzle this stuff. I really need to know what hops are in it so I can make an attempt on a clone. Or maybe someone here that has a load of experience can contribute.

HopHeads...just check it out.

I am drinking this right now. I would guess cascade or columbus to the max. Excellent flavor and not an overly bitter IPA. My new favorite for the week.

anyone tried to make this yet... any guesses on an all grain recipe... gonna pick up some ingredients today

It's hard to say as the beer is always a little different. I'd say American Pale 2 row, 65-70 IBU's, plenty of citrus/pine notes. 6%-7%. I've never tried brewing it and it's been a while since tasting it to try to guess what hop aroma is there. The brewery told me it's mainly cascade, but I doubt that.

I know this is an ancient thread, but has anyone found a clone recipe for Lot 3? All I can find is a brewtoad recipe.
