Maybe going to use sodium perborate, what do you think? Perhaps it is corrosive in my microbrewery ...Even here in Canada I'm unable to get StarSan because there are no roads to my town. Apparently StarSan cannot go through airmail because it is a Dangerous Goods product.
As a replacement I have used a white powder called OneStep that works as a cleaner AND sanitizer (it's not legally classified as a sanitizer, but it seems to do the job).
I'm (un)happily using Star San in China. Unhappily because here it cots more than double its price in the US. So peracetic acid works fine with me every time I don't need foam (Star San foams up, and you do want it to foam up when it comes to sanitizing inside of the pipes or whatever else internal and hard-to-reach places).Even here in Canada I'm unable to get StarSan because there are no roads to my town.
Stealthcruiser, Can you tell some product daily sanitization in the industry in your country?

Good thing about peracetic acid is that, like SS, it doesn't call for rinsing and it naturally disintegrates into harmless elements in some reasonably short time.
Iodophor is used by many, and it would also be my choice if it wasn't turning silicone hoses brown.
In a word, if I could buy SS for its original price I would never think of anything else, but in my situation it is a Sunday treatso PA does quite well on regular basis. Gloves and eye protection are a must, but you knew it without my reminder.

It has the same ingredients as other sanitizers, just the manufacturer didn't go through the federal hoops required to get it called a sanitizer. People bag on it, but it works great.
