Sad but true. They are truly awful right now. Looking at their lineup last night, was brutal. One line, which isn't even that great, and then the dropoff is just brutal.

They're far too young right now, 6 of 12 forwards last night in their 1st or 2nd years. Aging, terrible defense with no balls.

Sadly the Red Wings are definitely trying to rebuild this team. Luckily their defense has stepped things up a bit since Saturday but now their offense needs to step things up. Winning in a shootout against Cleveland and then scoring only one goal with 3 seconds left against Dallas?

At least Howard seems to have shaken off the butterflies he must have been feeling on Saturday. I think the things they need to work on most are shooting and power plays. They can't just pass around hoping for a clear shot, they need to crash the net and take the rebounds.

It's bad. Officially the worst team in the league at 0-3. Special teams are what's really killing them. They've been awful. Looked better as the game went on last night, but they're just getting killed.

Sucks that Bryz is actually playing well and a number of the goals in all three games have been stupid, silly bounces, like the first goal last night that went from behind the net, off Ruslan, off Bryz, and into the net.

Speaking of which, I really think a solid goaltender is the biggest thing holding Toronto back now. If we still don't manage to make the playoffs - though I do think our chances are much better this year, especially with the shorter season - that will be why. Hell, we don't even need a great goalie, even an average starter would be huge.

As for Kadri, I knew the kid would be good even when he was first temporarily called up. Really glad to see him now making a name for himself in the NHL.
