Halak gets back to back shutouts. Blues get two for first in the West and a share of first overall.

Probably won't last, but it's better to be on the top than on the bottom.

Technically it was East St. Louis, and the charges were dropped.

I found footage of you before the rampage.

Flyers are now up to 9 players with 10+ goals. No other team has more than 7. Just need to shore up the defense and get more consistent goaltending..what else is new?

Ridiculous Toronto-Ottawa game. I guess it's alright to sit on the goalie now and kick the puck in.

If I were a leafs fan, I would be more worried about that weak game winning goal by Turris high glove side. Reimer with the attempted shoulder save. WTF was that? I thought this guy was the greatest goalie to ever wear a leaf jersey? LOL

And maybe be worried your 'captain' had his @ss handed to him in that fight by Nick Foligno of all people.

And btw, the puck hit Spezza's stick before going in. Watch the replay before blindly following the rest of the whiners.

Here are some logical thoughts on the game from a Leaf fan - I like to think I don't wear the blinders, but you probably won't believe me. At least my boy kratzer will understand...

What is this talk of Reimer being the best goalie ever? Please point out where someone has said that. He has been struggling lately - I would have played him against the Rags - throw him right to the wolves, but I'm not paid millions to make these decisions.

Both goalies let in a soft goal each, so that's fine. Don't want that happening in the 3rd though but what can you do. If you're going to get scored on though, it might as well be on a great shot over the shoulder while you're down. Should the goalie save those? Yes. But was it still a great shot by Turris? You bet!

I'm not sure where all your confidence is coming from though - if you think that Ottawa played a good 60-minutes, you're dreaming. They were severely outplayed in the first 2 periods, and could only score with a bit of interference on the first goal, and then Spezza had to sit on the goalie for the second. That second goal is the definition of lucky - Spezza's got no idea where his stick is, and it just somehow nicks the puck while he's got his ass firmly planted on Reimer. Not sure how the refs don't call that, but whatever - it's hockey, these things swing both ways eventually.

In fact, the only good hockey I saw from the Sens was after they had the lead and were able to lull the entire ACC in to a deep sleep with their defensive play. Perfect road strategy - I ain't knocking it. Just saying that if you think Ottawa was somehow the better team last night, you might want to revisit that opinion.

Phaneuf's face is still broken - I'm surprised he fought at all. But then again not really, as he likes to lead by example. You don't like what someone did to you? Fight them, even if you might lose. I thought it was pretty cool. I also thought Foligno was a cheap **** for punching a guy with a jersey over his face, but that's all heat-of-the-moment stuff so I guess it's cool.

Anyway, Sens are hot right now, and when you're hot you win games you shouldn't. Leafs were the same way at the beginning of the season. Hopefully things will be better against Minnesota on Thursday - but Minny always seems to give Toronto trouble.

Question becomes who to start? I'd go back to Gustavsson Thursday, Reimer Saturday, then split 'em again for the two games next week against the Islanders.

Toronto gets their chance in a couple weeks in Ottawa where it's always fun seeing the greatest fans in hockey take over an opposing team's arena.

GO LEAFS GO!

hfboards.com end of last season. HFboards is the internets largest hockey forum.

I'm not sure where all your confidence is coming from though Confidence is coming from being 5th in the East in a season they have no business even being competitive! It's what happens when your team over achieves this much.- if you think that Ottawa played a good 60-minutes, you're dreaming. They were severely outplayed in the first 2 periods, and could only score with a bit of interference on the first goal, and then Spezza had to sit on the goalie for the second. definately - see this for proof! .. http://www.youtube.com/v/hzVm52SLOJQ&hl No leaf fan should complain about Spezza call going against them, these things balance out by the end of the season

Perfect road strategy - I ain't knocking it. Just saying that if you think Ottawa was somehow the better team last night, you might want to revisit that opinion. Sens were obviously not better last night. Anderson was.

If you end up with a shirt on your head, you suck at fighting and should rethink doing it.

Just because there is an extremely vocal minority of leafs fans in the building being obnoxious. I go to games all the time against Toronto. Those are really not people to be proud of. If you met some of them, you would probably agree.

GO LEAFS GO!

In conclusion, Leafs suck.
Go Sens Go!

Awesome. We agree on everything except the Leaf fans in Ottawa stuff. I can't count your hfboards stuff because there are about 10,000 users there who post on the Leaf board, and at least 50% of them have some sort of mental handicap. For every "OMG REIMER IS THE BESTEST EVER!!!!" comment you could find, I could also find a "Let's wait and see what happens after a full season" comment. Please don't judge a fanbase on it's HFBoards representation - it's not fair for anyone.

Back to the Leaf fans in Ottawa: I've been to Leaf games in Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Phoenix, and Ottawa (er, Kanata) and without blabbing on with big long stories I've never seen more hostile or rude people than Sens fans in their own barn.

Last night's game was very entertaining. I'd love to see these two teams play against each other in the post season. Hopefully Ottawa can climb to the top of the East so the Leafs can sweep 'em in the first round (again).

GO LEAFS GO!

Ah, the good old days. No matter what the regular season series looks like, you can always count on the Sens to **** it up in the playoffs :D

StittsvilleJames, the Sens were outplayed, outworked and outshot for 60 minutes. You're right, these things go both ways and will even out by the end of the season. That doesn't make it any less frustrating when no call is made when there is blatant goaltender interference.

I'm watching the game on nbc sports tonight. Two of the best looking jerseys in the league with the Sabres whites and the Blackhawks reds. Agree, disagree? I'm sure a lot of you are biased as am I...

The leafs and sens haven't played in the playoffs since 2004. It's time to move on fellas. Maybe we can all reminisce and whine about Gretzky's high stick in '93 instead?

This is what I do from 8:30-09:00 every. single. day.

It ain't easy being a Leaf fan, never having won a cup since colour TVs were invented. Kind of like being a Sens fan! Ohhhh yeah!!!! GO LEAFS GO!:ban::ban::ban:

Oh and yeah, the Sabres jerseys are sweet. And the Hawks jerseys are sweet. Especially when they are white/red, respectively.
