Unbelievable...
Leafs are back in the game.

I would cheer for the nazi's hockey team over the leafs.
And really?!?!?! Canada does dominate the Stanley cup. Just because a team of 75% Canadians plays in a US city does not make that team any less Canadian .....
That's the only comfort Canadians take any more..."The players in the league are mostly Canadian, so it makes it ok that it's been almost 20 years since a team from Canada win the Cup because every time an American-based team wins, there are loads of Canadians on the roster."
That's bullsh*t. Canadians don't cheer for the American team in the Cup finals who has the most Canadian players.
People cheer for the team, whether it's their favorite team because of where they live or favorite player. They support their team, maybe their city, not the nationality of the individuals under the team's sweater.
To say you cheer for a team because of the nationality of the players, outside of international competition, is probably because your favorite team sucks.
Hey Kessel...Stay FAT!!!!!
woooohoooo
Only 6 games I wanted to win this season, so far 2-1 for the good guys!!!
Really man, you're wrong. Last year's finals for example - NOBODY I knew (except one misguided fool, and my sister in law who called them the 'Cannuks') wanted Vancouver to win. It was Boston all the way. In fact, it's always about specific players once my team is out. Last year I was hoping to see Kaberle finally win something. Ray Bourque and Dave Andreychuk were also in the "playing-on-American-team-but-I-still-wanted-them-to-win" category.
Your arguments and assumptions are absurd. You're either trollin', or really, really butthurt over something. Inferiority complex, perhaps?
You sound like one of those clowns who starts chanting "USA! USA!" at NHL games.
On a happy note, Detroit is rolling again, 18 goals in the last 4 games with only 4 given up.
That should make everyone smile.

I'm excited for all the young talent on the team right now but I'm worried some of them might burn out half way through the season.

But hey I can still cross my fingers for another dynasty like everyone else in this city has been for the last 30 years or so.
I BELIEVE
Hoping for a dynasty? Really? How about starting with just ONE Stanley Cup?
Love the hit on Miller. Good shoulder to shoulder hit. Miller even put his arm up to check Lucic.
But of course even though there is no rule against hitting a goalie playing the puck outside the crease, Lucic is having a hearing.
If goalies don't want to get hit, they should not play the puck INSIDE ONE OF THE CIRCLES WITH AN OPPONENT COMING AT THEM!
Miller needs to take a page out of Thomas' book

Sorry, but you are wrong. This is the exact wording from http://www.nhl.com/ice/page.htm?id=26480
69.4 Contact Outside the Goal Crease - If an attacking player initiates any contact with a goalkeeper, other than incidental contact, while the goalkeeper is outside his goal crease, and a goal is scored, the goal will be disallowed.
A goalkeeper is not fair game just because he is outside the goal crease. The appropriate penalty should be assessed in every case where an attacking player makes unnecessary contact with the goalkeeper. However, incidental contact will be permitted when the goalkeeper is in the act of playing the puck outside his goal crease provided the attacking player has made a reasonable effort to avoid such unnecessary contact.
Lucic didn't make any effort to not hit Miller at all, hence it's illegal (and that's why he got 2 minutes). I don't think a suspension is in order though, but with Shanahan suspending guys for foul language and dirty looks these days, who knows.
Miller should have whined to the media about his own team though, who didn't do crap when it happened. Even if Kaleta had of taken a run at Thomas on the next shift, woudl have been ok with me. Miller can't hang around after the game to cry to the media and call out Lucic. THAT is a gutless move, Ryan.
