Hi,
I have an all-grain recipe for a British blonde/pale ale that I want to make. The recipe calls for 6 lbs. of "English 2-Row Pils". When I search for this, I can find 2 row pilsner malts but none that specify "English". Are there known British suppliers whose brand names I should be looking for or can someone recommend a good "English 2-Row Pils" that I can order online? My local supply house doesn't carry one anymore...
Thanks!

Bairds makes a Pilsner malt - should be 2-row variety - so would fit the bill.

Edit: Crisp has a europils malt that would work as well. Simpsons as well makes a pilsner malt.

If you can find "Crisp" brand 2-row, that is English barley. Briess & Rahr are American, Castle is Belgian, Weyermann is German.

These are what's available to me, anyway.

*EDIT* Forgot about Simpsons until I saw it in the other guys' posts below.

UK Pils malt isn't common, but it's out there. My LHBS has only very recently (as in, since the last time I went in there) started carrying Bairds, but if they make it, that's a good place to start (they do carry both Simpsons and Crisp and I've never seen either one's Pils malt). You may have to order it online.

Muntons
Crisp
Fawcetts
Warminster
Bairds
Tuckers
Simpsons

Will all do lager and/or pils malts and/or extra pale ale malts that would be suitable for the beer
