so i have a question. i used live yeast for the first time the other day using edinburgh yeast. i followed the instructions exactly and almost 2 days later i have no gurgling at all. i pitched dry yeast at the same time to 2 other batches similar but different that are going nuts. i am not new to making cider but not a veteran either. am i missing something or is my batch ruined? thanks
 
What is that froth and foam if it is not a sign of active fermentation? What was the starting gravity? What is the current gravity? It is possible that the cider is fermenting but the seals on your bucket or for the airlock are defective and CO2 is escaping there and not through the bubbler...
 
Looks like it's fermenting just fine to me. I think Bernard is correct, you probably have a leaky seal.
