I know this is a stupid question, but that is why I am asking it here. When I use an easy siphon, how likely is it that I can scratch the inside of my plastic carboy with the tip?

If it hits the side when I plunge the top part down and it jostles the whole thing, have I scratched the inside of my brand new plastic carboy? Or am I just being silly and too worried at this point?

i have a few scratches in my bucket.

when not brewing a strong bleach solution will rest into the cracks.
as we learned in environmental engineering class
kill rate is concentration times contact time.

lets hope that's true here too and not just in water management.

obviously rinse well then star san before using after this thick of a bleach solution.

my non brew buckets are sitting in bleach now actually
