Well I guess the mega snifter doesn't like hot water.

I filled it yesterday to measure out some water for pasta, today my girl noticed it was cracked. That's what I get for disgracing it with such a purpose.

**** off, of course I have a measuring cup. I didn't want to have to measure a cup of water 12 times when I could get it done with the snifter in two.
TIL I'm supposed to measure the amount of water I use to make pasta.. I think? I've been doing this incorrectly my entire life, will likely continue not measuring. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Normally I wouldn't but I was making some fancy pad thai **** with asian noodles and wanted to make sure it was perfect. For what it's worth the meal came out great, the noodles were on point. Fish sauce mixed with lime juice and brown sugar... it smells terrible but i'll be damned if it didn't end up great after cooking with it.

Whoever sends jivex5k a box of beer next should include a much needed extra.

P.S. Did you heat the water on the stove first then measure? Or does your hot water get really hot?
Hot water gets really hot. I think I can salvage it, I did some googling this morning and looks like silicone is my best bet for a waterproof food grade sealant.

It's a shame that you can never make it again.

Rip new fantome glass :(

Hey Pneill316 they are not as indestructible as you mentioned.

Does it still hold fluid? A tome stemless glass looks absolutely badass. You might have a super original creation on your hands right there!
That one did not bounce, lol, that is one bass ass stemless glass doe.

They sell this in BeNeLux?

I'd have to look to see if there's a similar product.

Yeah the break is really odd, it looks like it just popped off. Going to experiment and see if it's still useable lol

Was a little disappointed but at least there were a few more available and shipping to France isn't terrible...

Hate topping this thread, but hopeful Compton25 still has a source for these on a shelf?

One roommate moved out this weekend, other roommate said he found this in the sink after the dust settled. I would under no circumstances leave any glassware in the sink beyond generic coffee mugs and mason jars... not sure how this happened

Yeah I can take care of you next time I’m in Little Rock.

For 10 years ive been asking my wife to refrain from washing my beer glassware.
1. because she slams them around and has chipped/broken more glasses than anyone should in a lifetime
2. she hardly rinses them and it shows everytime i pour a beer in a glass she "washed"

Tonight she was so proud of herself and how much she got done around the house while I was at meetings.

Including washing a couple beer glasses....
