I found this recipe over on thebrewhut.com yesterday. Whatdya think?

E.mpire S.trikes B.ack
Partial Mash

5 lbs Light DME

1 lb. Wheat

1. lb. Crystal 75

1 lb. Flaked Barley

1 oz. Kent Goldings 60

1 oz. Kent Goldings 30

1 oz. Kent Goldings 10

Windsor Ale Yeast

I picked up some whirfloc to add to it, that will help, right? Or will the flaked barley be too much?

Can anyone guess how dark this should come out? Even before adding the DME it was a copper/brown color. Is this from the barley?

The copper color comes from the crystal. Flaked barley adds very little color, but adds a mildly grainy taste, and aids head retention. It can also cause a chill haze if all the starch is not converted.
