I am back in Cambodia for vacation and the beer scene here has really picked up. Beers like Guinness Foreign Extra Stout are now available and a new brewery opened up here called Kingdom that, to my surprise, makes a pilsener that isn't half bad.

In a couple bars, though, I have had both the Guinness and the Kingdom Pilsener that had a slight "dusty" taste to them. In both cases they were bottled, not canned. Is this the skunked taste everyone talks about or is it something else?

Could be just stale. Storage conditions can affect how a beer ends up tasting. You have to wander how far a beer has to travel to get there, plus how it is handled through the distribution channel.
