I was all excited to play with flow control but these DuoTight flow control QDs do not fit my Torpedo kegs -- at all.

It isn't the O-ring on the keg.

It isn't even the plunger in the QD being too long. I messed around with both those things before I figured it out.

You can take the QD apart until there is nothing but the sleeve, and it will simply not slide down the post far enough to lock. It just doesn't fit. The inner portion of the QD is not big enough.

Any ideas on how to fix these things?

Oddly the DT gas QDs fit Torpedo keg posts fine.

Yup. Same issue with mine. I ended up replacing my posts with ones off of amazon and those worked with the Flow Control QDs.

I've found if you open the flow control full, it goes on the ball lock posts a little bit easier. I think it's the spring pressure?

In this case it's definitely not that. I disassembled one and took the spring and poppet out entirely and it still would not fit on the Torpedo liquid post.

I did have a couple that were "tight" ...🤷‍♂️

Might just be me though...

I've experienced difficulty with various QD couplers on my torpedoes from time to time, and not just with the flow control variety (which I don't even have). I expect it is the same problem (i.e. the posts). Could you reference the specific item on Amazon which you have found resolves this problem - this would save a lot of time searching and wondering whether I am getting the right one. Thanks!

@joshuapinter Pinging Joshua to see if you can direct me to the posts that work for you on Amazon. Thanks.

I don't own any torpedo kegs, but the posts that came with my cheap Chinese minikegs never seemed to like any QDs that I tried. Ironically, replacing them with different cheap Chinese posts solved the problem.
