while dry hopping a black ipa in the keg, i realized my normal weights were otherwise being used so I started digging around. I say the shiny color of stainless steel and grabbed....a pair of pliers. :smack: To this moment, I don't know WHAT I was thinking. I know pliers are not made of SS, if they were they would cost more than $1. Anyway, I boiled 'em up and chucked 'em in.
The beer smells EXACTLY like beef jerky. I still just can't believe I did something that dumb.
I just ask for forgiveness for my bonheadedness.

First beer I ever brewed I accidentally (not knowing any better) sealed the bucket completely. Lets just say that the beer hit the ceiling in what could only be described as "Old Faithful"
