I just brewed a batch and I forgot to add finish hops at the last two minutes of the boil, as called for by the recipe. So, I added the hop pellets into the primary fermenter with the yeast.

Any thoughts on how this may affect the beer with respect to the original recipe?

Thank you,

Jeff

You would have been better off re-heating a small amount of wort (a quart or two) and boiling the finish hops for the two minutes. Dry hopping extracts a different oil profile. You'll have more of the very volatile oils.

It will be close.

Next time try adding them after the main ferment slows down. I just dry hopped an IPA and a Czech pils this way. You'll retain more aroma because they do not get gassed out from the active primary fermentation. You can also use a little less this way. If your recipe called for 1 oz aroma hops at the end of the boil try 1/2 or 3/4 oz when dry hopping.
