Dry hopping and KC Finings: Which do I do first?

Ok so I brewed a Karankawa Pale Ale kit from AHB 2 weeks ago. It's in secondary now and isn't clearing up like I'd like it to (didn't have the best cold break), so I got some Super-Kleer KC finings. While at the LHBS I was like "hell, why not get some cascade to dry hop with while I'm at it"

I know you only want to dry hop for about a week so you don't start to get planty flavors. (I'm using pellets if it matters) But when should I use the finings? I've read they only take about 24 hours to work, so should I wait till about 24 hours before bottling? Or add them now, before I dry hop?

Also, what do you guys prefer, KC Finings, Gelatin, or PVPP?
 
If it was me (which it was) I chose dry hop and buy a chiller instead of fooling with finings.

The beer will taste fine this time and finding a way to make mucho cold break next time and in the future will be cheaper in the long run.

I prefer a wort chiller. No offense.
 
uhh ok thanks :rolleyes: That doesn't exactly help me with my current batch that's in secondary. I plan to make a chiller sometime but I don't have any money to spend on brewing equipment right now.

Anyone have any useful advice?
 
Ferment ('till pretty much done), dry hop, and then fine. Alot of people coldcrash instead of fining, or coldcrash then fine. There is some evidence to suggest that fining can reduce hop aroma a bit.

I prefer using gelatin to fine, as it's available in the supermarket, but there are many others. If I have the ability to cold crash, however, I may not fine at all, especially with dry hopped beers.
