So I have 5 gallons of yooper's pale ale and a bell's 2 hearted clone. I threw in my hops into the primary after two weeks and after fermentation was done. The hops have been in there for 3 days and I was thinking of putting the carboys in the fridge to crash. Should I wait for 7 to 10 days then crash? Or can I start now without muting any aromas?

Patience. The hops will dumb down a bit regardless, but contact time with the wort, I believe is essential for the time being. If you drop them out now they're just going to sit in a sludge at the bottom and not be able to do what they're suppose to.

Thanks for the advice. Once you mentioned that the hops would be sitting in the sludge in the bottom, it made perfect sense to wait.
