Suggestions?

New on the forum so I apologize if this question was covered before.

I am going to dry hop my IPA. Should I put them into the 2nd? Or the 1st just before transfer? Recommendations/suggestions would be great.

Thanx.

Most folks add them to the secondary. I've been lazy before and thrown them in at the end of primary, left them a few days to do their hoppy job, then moved to bottling, skipping the secondary altogether.

If you are using a secondary, put them in there. But I've done the same thing, just put them in the primary at the end and bottle/keg after a few days. I usually don't secondary anything.

Just rack from above the trub/hops. Don't use a strainer. You will introduce oxygen to the beer. Which is bad to do after fermentation.
