Dry hop loose with floating dip tube?

I'm fermenting an IPA in a keg, and I have the torpedo floating dip tube in it. I think I'm going to try and drop hop 6 oz pellets loose, then after about 3 days cold crash for another 2-3 days, then transfer to serving keg. My hope is that the hop matter settles and the floating dip tube transfers without a clog. Anyone tried this?

I've done that with a CBDS with the hop screen and it worked great
