Hey folks,

I am preparring to do my first all grain. I've been doing extract brewing for awhile and am finally making the jump. I guess my question is this. I am thinking about buying a basic Irish Red Kit from Northern Brewing. I want to dry hop it with some cascade or citra. What are some thoughts on this approach. Anyone ever tried this method? Thanks!

Agreed that hop aroma is out of place in an Irish Red ale, if you're looking at the style. However, if you like your red ales with some hops, go for it. A lot of American reds are just Irish reds with extra hops, so that will be more like what you end up with.
