I have never used a step bit before. I am drilling a hole on a sankey keg. Can I use a standard 18v cordless drill or do I need something more powerful?

Cordless should be fine, and I've even read threads here about how the cordless worked better because it was easier to keep the speed slow. Just makes sure to use super slow RPM's, lot's of lubrication, and lots of pressure. Drilling a small pilot hole first also makes things a lot easier.

That is what I wanted to hear! Thanks...
