Hey all,

I bought a used Danby kegerator off of Craiglist a while back, and it was pretty nasty. I ordered a new faucet and shank assembly, and I found that the shank diameter is too big for the current hole in the draft tower. The pic is of the nut that goes on the backside of the shank. Has anyone had to expand the tower hole? Any tips?

I have never worked on a tap tower butI would think a step drill in a variable speed drill would do it.

I have used step drills in electrical panels and some holes in my stainless pots but always with a variable speed battery drill so slow and controlled.

Awesome. Thank you both for your input. I do have a Dremel, so I can take a look at doing it this way.

Forgot to update this for any who might run into the same issue. I used a huge drill bit to chew out the hole, and then finished off with a Dremel grinder bit. The hole is ugly, but hey, it worked.
