I've been wanting to try this beer for awhile now after first hearing about it. Finally found it at the local beer store. I was expecting a refreshing raspberry taste but not at all. First off I didn't even get a hint of raspberries and it had a very hot alcohol taste to it. Felt very heavy in the mouth as well. I wish I never tried it now, I think I expected something it wasn't and was very disappointed.

It's not your fault. It's a terrible beer. Like you I was excited to finally try this beer. Unfortunately it is just solventy cough syrup.

This is a beer that needs age. If you drink it fresh it is a alchool bomb. Buy another one place in a cool place and open in two years. It turns into an awesome beer.
