Do you name your fermenters?

My favorite part is when they talk back. I like to sit in the ferm room when I have a couple of batches going and listen to the air locks bubble.
Now, for the part of the story he is not telling.

The room was dark. A sweet, musky smell tinged with sulfur permeated the air. Slowly, I walked to my fermenter. Then I heard it, the slow bubbling of the airlock. Unable to control myself, I bent over, placing my nose on the tip of the airlock, waiting expectantly for the next exhalation of sweet gas. It came. I sniffed. I (to be continued) :drunk:

A -possibly- less weird way of telling one fermenter from another is to just buy U.S. Plastics buckets, which are available with lids in your choice of colors. I ordered three of their 7 gallon buckets, and I call mine "the one with the red lid," etc.

The only piece of equipment I've named is my 5 gallon bourbon barrel. I named her Lucille...as in B.B. King's guitar. I take care of her, and she gives me beautifully barrel aged beer in return.

I didn't name the fermentors, but SWMBO named the kegerator "Richard Beerington the 4th" I call him Drinky Dick for short.
