Do you call in sick if hungover?

I have called off once for being hungover, told my manager that I had caught some kind of stomach flu that would probably last for 24 hrs... Went out one night with some friends and had to work the next morning @6, woke up still (but slightly less as) drunk from the night before and thought it was the worst hangover ever... Until I became hungover, learned my lesson that night.

In my younger days I had a job where I could tell them that I'd be late because I was hung over. A few times I went in feeling all right then had to go home and sleep it off.

Then I grew up. I don't put myself in that position anymore.
