Noob question..... I want to experiment tonight with some yeast i harvested from a previous batch of beer. I am going to make a starter and I don't have any DME. Is there an adequate substitute for DME since I can't get to my LHBS? I may not use this yeast but would like to do starters and also harvest yeast in future.
