Just starting to build mine....

I am going to use a flat handle face with one of these rigid baseball card holders glued to it. Something like the following...

That way I can just print my label on regular paper.

Finally DIY'd a tap handle today



It's made of moose antler with a threaded insert. Drilling it was easy but threading the insert into the very hard antler was tough.

Kinda hard to see since its not totally done yet. Took a wooden tee ball bat, cut it, and inserted a thread adapter. $11 total.

It's 3/8-16.. Buy rod couplings instead of hex nuts.. Better suited to the purpose...

I used them upside down (partly yo avoid the phalic look).

most are using them with a ferrule like this as a double female connection-

Hello all, I made my first tap handle last night and was surprised at how easy it was. Now I have a few different options for the front, I can use chalkboard paint, dry erase, or you can put a sticker/label on it. I've decided to make a few more for friends and wanted to say that if anyone here wanted one just PM me.

this thread is so cool, I got inspired. I gave my 2 boys a lesson in eminent domain and used a few of their toys for new handles. only 1 protest, and he gave me an alternate shark to use. then I used a shifter knob from a transmission I had in the back yard.
