Aged in recycled pressure treated wood barrels!
No, remember he isn’t making the barrel. He is making wood chips out of the patio planks that he will soak in whiskey to sanitize. Completely safe man, no worries!

Dude there are way better websites to be a troll on. I don't get why you chose a home brew forum, especially one that has so much real knowledge and information.

BOO THIS MAN!!

Since you also edited out all the good information and the picture there's nothing left to comment on.

Luckily I saw the post and picture before your edits. The "filter" element looked to what is typically used in sand filters, such as used for pools.

I honestly hope that everything he says is 100% true. Obviously it isn't; but, could you imagine trying to start a brewery knowing you had put all of this knuckleheaded $hit on the internet? Someone does a little bit of research and sees this is the type of person you are and then you expect them to come buy your beer?

I'm wondering what's next. The dude is creative, that's for sure. Stupid; but, creative.

Well anyone looking for an easy lawsuit will be on their way to the I smell weird brewery and cupcakery

I'm not a troll, very tired of hearing this but being patient. What would be the point of trolling a site like this with a few dozen members with actual brewing questions? There are many regular questions I've asked here and some I admit are out of the ordinary. I'm sure you all have embarassing things in your brew sessions but your too afraid to admit it. I told myself a while ago when I lost a relative suddenly but I inherited his equipment, I said no more holding back. What's the point. And haters like to hate, is a true line, and I move forward and will be successful because I make mistakes and ask questions with no fear. I say this with great respect, I know you are all much further ahead in this hobby and much smarter, skilled, even despite the accusations I see other posts you've all made and I know if you had this equipment you'd already be rich.

Yes thank you, Mario confirmed this wasn't a clean water filter and shouldn't be used, primarily as someone else had mentioend its made of PVC and not food safe even if boiled. In fact the boiling may exasserbate the danger. Next week when its trash day I'll just do what I did and wait until after midnight and just put it back with the trash.

Troll or not makes no difference to me. I've gotten a few great laughs from more than 1 thread that @ismellweird has started and thats good enough for me. Thank you Mell.

I don't care about if he's serious or not, so long as he does not accidentally hurt himself. If he intentionally hurts himself by doing something unsafe that he's been warned: well thats on him.

Regarding breweries as getting rich, another Mario reference: pipedream! I'm not meaning this as a negative, but rather a reality. The competition of breweries and general business make becoming a successful business very unlikely, much less getting rich along the way.

Equipment makes not the brewer. I've had brews from a number of great micros with great product and equipment that have since gone under. There is sooo much more than equipment and recipes.

Careful, too much of that and you'll go blind.

hi, how do I delete this post

I think you mean, Tootsie roll POOP. How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie roll POOP!

And tell me more about this flatulence powered vespa...

Not sure what your local laws are but technically since you took the filter it is now yours and by placing it back on your neighbors property you would be illegally dumping. I don’t think you have a problem with dumping though. Haha poop joke.
