DIY diode heater?

I hava coolbot and did a search theres was plenty talk about it. But people are using diode as a heater. My went bad on my cool bot and would rather just make a new one instead of spending 35.00 on a new 1.00 diode. Does anyone know what kinde of diode it is thanks!

It is a Peltier Diode. They are not very efficient, but work well when no moving parts is a requirement.

I bought 2 as backups for my 2 coolbots since they are cheaper (shipping) that way.
